| I recently had the exciting opportunity to take my first raft trip. I went down the Chilibar (class 3 and 3+) run of the South Fork American River to Coloma, Ca. There were 7 of us. Monte was our guide. I've seen hundreds of rafts going down the rivers while canoeing them and I must say, I've never seen a raft handled as well as Monte handled this one! I have a lot of experience whitewater canoeing, etc and I know when I see a professional at work. Monte IS a professional! I'm looking forward to him guiding a trip through the Gorge of the South Fork American River. |
